Launched in September of 2023, the Devereux Center for Effective Schools (CES) created the podcast, Not Your Average School Psychologist. This podcast is made up of a team of CES members. This team includes Director Lisa Thomas, Ph.D., NCSP; Assistant Directory Laura Rutherford, Ph.D., NCSP, BCBA; and Consulting and Research Psychologists Rachel Eisenberg, Ph.D., NCSP, and Janna Sanders, Ph.D., BCBA. All the podcasts team members are part of the Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health. The Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is one of the nations largest and oldest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare.

 

The podcast strives to be a resource for school psychologists to learn about evidence-based practices from a behavioral perspective but a focus on the implementation of all aspects of the NASP practice model. Their goal is to help school psychologists maximize their impact on the communities and students they serve. The Prepared School Psych Podcast is hosted by Jenny Ponzuric. Jenny is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and has worked in the field for over 20 years. Not only does she provide school site training, but she also provides district and SELPA-level training on a variety of topics. These topics include the Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses (PSW) Model for identification of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Multi-Tier System of Supports/Response to Instruction and Intervention (MTSS/Rtl2). With a BSc in Philosophy and Psychology and an MA in Special and Inclusive education, she provides an educational podcast from personal experience. She currently resides as an Assistant Director for Teaching and Learning at a school in South Oxfordshire. Lucinda has over 20 years of experience as a psychology teacher.
