Location: Hicksville, NY

Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays

Hours: Mondays 7:30am-6pm, Tuesdays 8:30am-5pm, Fridays 10am-6pm

Job Title: Payroll/Office Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Payroll/Office Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting payroll processing and providing general office assistance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and the flexibility to work extended hours and meet tight deadlines. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process by ensuring timely and accurate data entry, calculating hours worked, verifying timesheets, and assisting with the preparation of payroll reports.
  • Office Administration: Provide general office support, including filing, data entry, and organizing office materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with staffing coordinators and recruiters to assist with administrative tasks related to staffing and recruitment efforts.
  • Task Execution: Complete specific tasks as assigned, including but not limited to assisting with employee records, maintaining payroll-related documents, and helping with the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Flexible Availability: Demonstrate a willingness to work late or extend hours on short notice as needed to meet payroll deadlines and urgent office needs.
  • Deadline Management: Ensure tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Mandatory Overtime: Must be available to work overtime as required, especially during busy payroll periods or urgent office tasks.
  • Flexible Schedule: Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule, including staying late or coming in early when necessary.
  • Deadline-Driven: Must be able to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines consistently.
  • Initiative: Self-starter with the ability to take responsibility and follow through on tasks without constant supervision.
  • Trainable: Willingness to learn new systems and processes; able to adapt to new technology and methods.
